If this is the case then you would have to look at models which give you larger seats and you would definitely need arm-rests and a seat belt not only for security but to make the person using the lift feel safe while moving up or down the stairs.

You would need to have a seat that swivels when it reaches the end of the track and the armrest lifts up, so that the occupant can either stand up easily or they can reach a wheelchair safely.

You should be able to choose the upholstery color so that it will fit in with your home color scheme, you can also probably have a choice between fabric upholstery or leather/leather look.

As long as your stairs are around 27″ wide you should have no trouble having one of these stair lift chairs installed on your staircase. That should cover up to a 6′ adult using the appliance.
